"Fields of Gold" was painted mostly on location at a sweet property east of Lebanon, Tennessee. I was with friends, new and old, and was first drawn to the shag-bark hickory tree, then to the colors of the golden grasses below, and then to the far hills. I took some liberties with the sky and distant hills, enhancing color. This painting feels good, an idyllic setting for peace in my heart, like all is right with my world. I often feel this way in nature.
This painting is $595, framed in wood, through Sounding Stone Gallery,
